QUAMBONE
Quambone is a village of about 100 people approximately 50km west of Coonamble and is the gateway to the world renowned Macquarie Marshes.
Fully sealed roads connect Quambone to Coonamble and Warren. A school bus runs daily to Coonamble for high school students.
Quambone has a small 1-2 teacher primary school, pub, swimming pool complex, tennis courts, and post office. A playgroup visits regularly, horse sports are very popular, and the community is very active. They are currently working to restore a fuel outlet to the district.
